This is the question many of our customers ask when they call or send us an email for the first time.
We are happy to help you calculate how much wood you need but, usually, we must first know the square footage of the area you want to cover…with Siding, Paneling, Decking, or whatever. For fencing, trim, fascia, railings, etc., we need to know the linear feet you want to cover.
So, call or send us an email with the square footage you want and we’ll do the conversion to linear feet for you. We use conversion charts which are standard in the lumber industry, provided to us by the Western Wood Products Association.
Most contractors recommend adding 10% to your total for trim and waste and, we agree, this is a good idea.
